Sometimes I wonder what will be
In years to come of you and me
An exquisite world of happiness and desire?
Or will time slowly extinguish our fire
You always tell me 'live for the now'
A statement I will have to learn somehow
Yet when not here I pine for you
Living in the present is hard to do
Your words on life and your philosophy
Have taught me things I could before not see
A wonderous being of body and mind
A creature like you is hard to find
There is nothing about you I do not love
My heart once down below now soars above
My thoughts are heavy not light when you're gone
The time when you were here has been and gone
I miss you more than words can say
Even though you were only here today
I think of you constantly, at least most of the time
Waiting inpatiently for you to give me a sign
That you are thinking of me and tell me so
'I miss you' now I am no longer low
For you feel the same and I think it's true
I am no longer sad for I know I have you.
